Are you pregnant and looking for some tasty, healthier-option mocktails (that aren’t full of sugar) to order when you’re out with friends? If so, you’ll absolutely LOVE these healthy pregnancy mocktails!

Personally, I love a good, light, refreshing cocktail. And when I got pregnant, it was a struggle not to order one at first. But then I learned how tasty some of these simple mocktails for pregnancy can be!

Now, at 36 weeks pregnant, I can happily go to a bar or restaurant and enjoy myself just as much with a mocktail as I would with an alcoholic drink!

I truly believe you will feel the same about these non alcoholic drinks to order when pregnant!

How Do You Ask For a Mocktail?

If you’re wondering how to order mocktails, it’s actually super easy!

You can always ask for any drink on a bar’s menu without alcohol. If they aren’t able to do it for some reason, they’ll let you know!

If you want to order a different mocktail (like one on the list below), simply tell your server or bartender what you’re looking for and, if they need it, read off the ingredients!

Are Mocktails Safe During Pregnancy?

Mocktails are definitely safe during pregnancy since there is no alcohol in them! šŸ˜€ Of course, you want to watch your sugar intake while pregnant, so beware of ordering some of the traditional bar-menu mocktails, which are typically loaded with sugar.

The list below is full of lower-sugarĀ mocktails to order at a restaurant or bar.

Low Sugar Mocktails for Pregnancy

What Should I Order at a Bar When Pregnant? (15 Low Sugar Mocktails for Pregnancy)

1. VIRGIN MOJITO

Mojitos are super light and have a refreshing minty taste to them! These are definitely one of my personal favoriteĀ mocktails to order while pregnant.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Fresh lime juice
  • Simple syrup
  • Mint leaves
  • Soda water

2. VIRGIN SKINNY MARGARITA

A margarita isĀ always a good option when you’re at a bar! These are also really tasty with a splash of orange juice added in!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Coarse salt (optional)
  • Lime juice or skinny sweet ‘n’ sour
  • Agave nectar
  • Splash of soda water

3. VIRGIN BLOODY MARY

If you love tomato soup or anything tomato-ey, this will be your jam! I love bloody Mary’s because it almost feels like a mini meal or appetizer to enjoy before your meal.

You may also ask for pickles or olives thrown in if those are your jam! Ask for it “dirty” if you want a little olive juice added.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Tomato juice
  • Worcester sauce
  • Tabasco sauce
  • Celery
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh lime juice

4. “MOCKTAIL MULE”

Gotta love a bubbly, cool mule! Subbing out the soda water for apple juice or apple cider can also make this even more delicious!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Ice
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Non-alcoholic ginger beer (if available)
  • Soda water
  • A lime wedge

5. VIRGIN MIMOSA

This has become a family favorite in our fam, pregnant or not! It’s refreshing, just like a normal mimosa… Minus the champagne that can make you oh so sleepy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Orange juice
  • Soda water
  • (Optional) a splash of cranberry

6. VIRGIN TOM COLLINS

Tom Collins lovers, you can enjoy a non-alcoholic version just as much! If your bar offers grapefruit soda, try subbing the soda water out for that as well!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Lemon juice
  • Simple syrup
  • Soda water

7. VIRGIN HOTTY TODDY

Looking for something hot to warm you up on a cold day? You’ll love a good hotty toddy! These are traditionally made as anti-sickness drinks, but they’re pretty enjoyable just to sip on as well (especially without the whiskey!)

INGREDIENTS:

  • Hot tea
  • Honey
  • Lemon
  • Cloves
  • Cinnamon

8. CRANBERRY AND SODA WITH LIME

This is basically a vodka cran… Minus the hangover! šŸ˜‰

INGREDIENTS:

  • Soda water
  • Cranberry juice
  • Fresh squeezed lime juice

9. “VIRGIN” VERSIONS OF ANYTHING ON THE BAR’S MENU

Easy peasy! Check out the bar’s menu and simply ask the bartender to make any drink without the alcohol. — Some bars even carry non-alcoholic liquor!

10. HALF AND HALF ARNOLD PALMER

An Arnold palmer is always a tasty non-alcoholic option to order at any restaurant or bar, but you can very easily cut back the calories by making the tea half and half, instead of the traditional full sweet tea!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 sweet tea
  • 1/3 unsweet tea
  • 1/3 lemonade

11. SODA WATER, PINEAPPLE JUICE, AND A LIME

This is a super simple, refreshing mocktail! Feel free to swap out the pineapple juice for any other fruity juice the bar has to offer.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Soda water
  • Splash of pineapple juice
  • A lime

12. VIRGIN PALOMA

If you’re a grapefruit lover, this is a great option for you and it’s one of the more easy mocktails to order!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Soda water
  • Grapefruit juice
  • Agave
  • Lime

13. VIRGIN BLUEBERRY MOJITO

Say hello to minty blueberry goodness! This is the perfect spring or summer mocktail!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Club soda
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Lime juice
  • Simple syrup
  • Muddled mint

14. VIRGIN CUCUMBER GIMLET

There’s just something so refreshing about a good cucumber drink! Not every bar will offer this option, but if they do have cucumbers, you can’t go wrong with this!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Club soda
  • Muddled cucumber
  • Lime juice
  • Simple syrup

15. NO-TEQUILA SUNRISE

This drink isĀ delicious.Ā However, it’s one of the higher calorie and higher sugar pregnancy mocktails on this list. — If you want to make it lower calorie, ask for mostly club soda with aĀ splash of sprite and a splash of pineapple juice!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Club soda
  • Sprite
  • Pineapple juice
  • Splash of grenadine
