Overnight Oats Q&A
Are Overnight Oats Actually Healthy?
Yes! Overnight oats will actually contribute to your healthy eating habits, as long as you make them with clean ingredients and quality brand products. The 1st Phorm brand is one of the highest quality and most well-respected supplement brands in the fitness industry.
Does Protein Powder Degrade in Overnight Oats?
The amino acids in the protein will change their structure a bit after being refrigerated overnight. However, this will not change the nutritional value of the protein.
Can I Eat Overnight Oats Every Day?
Of course, you can safely eat overnight oats every day, as long as you don’t have a sensitivity to them! Overnight oats do cause some people bloating or digestive issues, but you should be able to tell pretty quickly if this is the case for you.
Are Overnight Oats Healthier Than Regular Oatmeal?
Overnight oats aren’t necessarily healthier than eating plain oatmeal. They are just an easier option that you can meal prep ahead of time and store in the fridge, that way you’re not tempted to grab an unhealthy option when you don’t have time to make food.
Also, the added protein and nutrients you put in your overnight oats does add more nutritional value than if you were to eat a bowl of just plain oatmeal.
Why Are Overnight Oats So High in Calorie?
Oats are high in calorie because they’re a dense carb. However, if you’re exercising, you need healthy carbs to fuel your workouts and give you energy.
If you want to cut back your calorie count, simply cut back the amount of oats you’re putting in your recipe.
Are Overnight Oats Too High in Carbs?
No, overnight oats are not too high in carbs for a regular performance-based diet. However, if you’re on a low-carb diet, then yes, they would be way too high in carbs.
The main thing is to know how many carbs your body needs daily, and then eat according to that.
What is the Healthiest Oatmeal?
The healthiest option for oatmeal is definitely steel cut oats. These oats are the least processed option of oats and have a high amount of protein and fiber. However, I have not yet tried these 1st Phorm overnight oats with steel cut oats yet (I have only used original rolled oats), so try at your own risk! 😁
